The Queen's Gambit is far from the only play in town! Start your journey into the world of chess with this informative and competitive workshop. Players will explore the foundations of chess and begin to learn classical theory and opening moves. As they progress through the week more advanced strategies will be explored. This workshop is designed for students who are new to chess and is perfect for those who have an interest but little to no experience. Co-sponsored with Higher Ground Learning.
Learning Outcomes:
- Learn about classic theories and practice the skills required for competitive chess
- Study opening moves and counters
- Augment critical and strategic thinking skills
