Into the Wild: Outdoor Exploration (Age 12-14)

Gain a new perspective of the world! Discover the art of navigation and outdoor travel while hiking in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. Learn skills such as position locating, map interpretation, and compass orientation. Then, you will you hike several trails where you can practice your new navigational skills! Along the way you will learn about the local landscape and Leave No Trace principles. This is a hands-on experience full of excitement and exploration!

Class Sections For Into the Wild: Outdoor Exploration (Age 12-14) (YESPR 304)

Summer 2025 Section 1, Starting on: 06/23/2025

This is an outdoor camp. Please send students with packed lunch, full size water bottle, sunscreen and appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes for both kayaking and hiking. Reminder emails will be sent out before camp begins and will include location notes and other details.
