Way of the Sword: Olympic Fencing (Age 8-14)

Get your pulse racing with the martial art made famous by Jack Sparrow, Zorro, and even Yoda. Students will start out by learning about the origins and history of Olympic fencing. Classes will focus on footwork, bladework, rules, and etiquette. Students will be introduced to strategies and tactics, and will apply them in a mock tournament during the last class. This course is open to all skill levels. Students will be grouped by skill level in class. Co-Sponsored with Salt City Swords Fencing Club.

Class Sections For Way of the Sword: Olympic Fencing (Age 8-14) (YESPR 6)
Fall 2025 Section 1, Starting on: 10/11/2025
This is a 3-week course held at Salt Lake City Swords Fencing Club, 3536 S W Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84115. Bring a water bottle. Athletic footwear and clothing is required (no sandals, flip flops, crocs, or boots). All equipment provided. Reminder emails will be sent out before class begins and will include location notes and other details.
