Comic Book Art (Age 12-14) (YEART 323)
Superheros. Evil villains. Doomsday machines. The fate of the universe rests in your hands and how you decide to draw it. This exciting course helps you develop your ability to bring to life comic or cartoon figures as you create and illustrate a graphic story. We'll talk about visual character development as well as illustration techniques and storyboarding. Please come to the first class with a concept in mind. You may work in the medium of your choice.
Learning Outcomes:
- Create an original visual narrative in sequence
- Learn the process of developing a sequential illustration
- Learn traditional B/W penciling and inking techniques
