Expressive Charcoal Drawing

Learn how to use charcoal and other dry media to make art. You'll explore mark-making, gestural lines, abstraction, and a variety of textures. You'll learn the fundamental elements of drawing, particularly composition, perspective, and successful value patterns. Enjoy lecture, demonstration, and in-class practice. You'll walk away with the skills and materials you need to continue creating art outside of class.
