Strength Training: An Introduction

Strength training is any exercise that requires you to move an external weight. Strength training protects muscle and joint tissue and improves balance, hormone regulation, mental clarity, and bone density. This course teaches you how to safely and effectively perform strength training at the gym, recreation center, or home. You'll also leave with the confidence to create your personal resistance training plan.

Class Sections For Strength Training: An Introduction (LLREC 936)

Fall 2025 Section 1, Starting on: 09/27/2025

This class takes place at The Bouldering Project (660 S 400 W Suite 600, SLC). Please wear comfortable clothes you can exercise in. Special fee is for space and equipment rental. Each class day, students will have access to the entire gym including fitness studio, climbing terrain, sauna and locker room facilities provided they have completed a brief orientation.
