Current Research in Biology at the University of Utah
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Seven different faculty members in the University of Utah College of Science from the Department of Atmospheric Science will present results from some of their research conducted here in Utah and in the Southern Hemisphere. Dr. John Horel will provide information about flash floods across Southern Utah. Dr. Daniel Mendozza will examine indoor and outdoor air quality. Dr. Fred Adler, the director of the College of Biology, will discuss mathematics and biology. Dr. Ryan Stolley's talk will be "Magic is Real: A Short Lesson on the Spells to Make Anything". Dr. David Whiteman will present "Ice Mushrooms: An Unusual Weather Phenomenon on Southern Patagonia Peaks". Dr. Tayler Sparks will discuss integrating materials and manufacturing them. And Dr. Rodolfo Da Selva Probst will speak about "Uncovering Hidden Diversity: Molecular Tools and Power of Undergraduate Research". These presentations are each state of the art and should be of interest to all of us.
