The Continuing Education Building is located in Research Park at the corner of Arapeen Drive and Wakara Way

The CE building is a two-story building and the Osher offices are located on the second floor. Classes are scheduled in rooms throughout the building. Class room numbers are posted near the entrance doors and on the class listing on the website about 1 week in advance of the class start date.

Parking at the Continuing Education Building: Parking is free in our lot. A free parking pass will be issued and required for display in your vehicle during class hours.

ADA Compliance: Ramp access to the building is available on the east or west side of the building. The elevator to the second floor is on the west side. Parking for people with disabilities is available in the lots to the west of the building. If you have special needs, please contact the Osher office ahead of time at 801-585-5442, option 2.

Commander's House

The Commander's House is located in Fort Douglas on the east side of the U of U campus. From Foothill Dr./500 S. turn onto Mario Capecchi Dr. Enter gates of Fort Douglas at South Campus Drive/Hempstead Rd. Left at first stop sign. Left on the one-way street immediately before the Officer’s Club into parking lot. The Commander's House is the third building on the left.

From the Trax station proceed north to the foot of the Legacy Bridge. Cross the Bridge and proceed south east to the Commander's House.

Parking at the Commander's House is free only when classes are in session. The lot is to the north of the building. Parking in handicapped stalls or University vehicle stalls without a permit, parking elsewhere, or parking in this lot when Osher classes are not being held at the Commander's House may result in a ticket. Students are responsible for paying all tickets received when parking in non-authorized spots. Parking for people with disabilities is available in this lot with a handicap tag. Ramp access to the building is on the south side. Parking in the handicap spaces on De Trobriand St. (on the south side of the Commander's House) requires a special university permit. Overflow parking is available at the University Guest House to the north. The Guest House lot is on the west side of the building. Please let the Osher representative at your class know that you have parked at the Guest House so we can notify the appropriate people.

ADA Compliance: The Commander's House was constructed in the 1800s. Renovations have made the south entrance to the building accessible to individuals with disabilities. At the current time, the main floor of the building is accessible to people with disabilities. Most Osher classes in this building are held on the main floor. The kitchen area is a few steps down from the main floor. If you have special needs, please contact the Osher office ahead of time at 801-585-5442.
