Discovering Digital Photography (Age 11-13)

View the world through a new lens in this photography boot camp! Spend the week taking an in-depth look at F/stops, shutter speed, ISO, and other digital camera functions and how to use them to your advantage. You will also learn composition, elements of design, lighting, and rule of thirds; so you can spend more time making great images and less time fixing them. But, that is not at all, try some experimental techniques along your digital photography journey.

  • Understand basic digital camera function
  • Learn composition principles when taking a photograph
  • Utilize a variety of photo editing tools and techniques

Class Sections For Discovering Digital Photography (Age 11-13) (YEART 130)

Summer 2024 Section 1, Starting on: 07/29/2024

Students must provide their own digital SLR camera. Point and shoot cameras are welcome, but a DSLR can provide many more creative and learning opportunities. Additionally, you will be responsible for purchasing your supplies. We will contact you with a supply list closer to when the camp starts. We recommend purchasing the supplies 7-10 days in advance. If you're registering within 10 days of camp starting, please contact us for the supply list. Reminder emails will be sent out before camp begins and will include location notes and other details.
