Is Rock music dead? In this course, we will explore all things Rock and Roll (and more) - from Art Rock to Zeuhl, Chuck Berry to Greta Van Fleet. What makes something rock? What music theory elements distinguish Rock from other genres? How have taste, technology, and trends shaped the sound of music through time? Is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame an effective showcase of the genre's history? We'll aim to answer all of these questions and more. Co-sponsored with Higher Ground Learning.
