Crystal Martinez (Youth Education Director)

Crystal Martinez

Crystal Martinez is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for young learners. With a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah and a strong background in educational nonprofits, she has collaborated with diverse communities and stakeholders to deliver programs that empower students. When she’s not working, Crystal loves planning her next party, trip, or simple weekday outing with friends and family.


Sam Jackson (Club U Director)

Sam Jackson

Sam has dedicated her career to working in camp and informal education. Originally from Chicago, she grew up attending day camps, and her first job as a camp counselor continues to influence her work today. She enjoys piecing together campus engagement, field trip fun, skill building, and character development into the complete summer camp puzzle. Sam is passionate about many things including sports, airplanes, the ocean, and reading!


Amanda McGarry (Campus Camps Director)

Amanda McGarry

Amanda has nearly a decade of experience in youth development and is passionate about creating unique and engaging learning opportunities for students. She believes in fostering growth through hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity and confidence. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys exploring Utah’s diverse landscapes, spending quality time with her dog, and indulging in her love for sushi.


Lenn Rodriguez (PATHS Director)

Lenn Rodriguez

Lenn Rodriguez grew up a stone’s throw from NYC surrounded by arts and culture and earning a bachelor's degree in Theatre Studies. After spending her late twenties in South Korea teaching English, she moved to SLC and discovered a passion for youth development. For more than a decade, she has built a career in education and youth mentorship. In her spare time, you can find her knitting sweaters, camping, or mountain biking in the surrounding trails.


Michaela Paine (Communications and Program Coordinator)

Michaela Paine

When you call Youth Education, Michaela's answering voice is sure to brighten your day- you can practically hear her smile! Michaela coordinates Youth Education’s ACT classes, offers year-round support to all programs, and navigates external and internal communications and processes. Michaela earned her bachelor's degree in Gender Studies and International Studies with a focus on Culture and Identity from the University of Utah. Outside the office, she loves spending cozy evenings with her dog and family, diving into a good book, and spending time outside.


Hannah McAtee (Evaluations and Program Coordinator)

Hannah McAtee

Hannah McAtee is passionate about creating safe, supportive environments where all kids can thrive. With a Master’s degree in Human Development and Social Policy from the University of Utah, she brings expertise in continuous improvement to help programs grow and succeed. Hannah works closely with teams and stakeholders to ensure data-driven strategies lead to meaningful outcomes for children and families. When she’s not at work, Hannah is planning her next trip, hiking with her dog, or getting lost in a good book.


Ian Jentzsch (Operations and Program Coordinator)

Ian Jentzsch

Being an alumni of the Utah Games program at the University of Utah, Ian is a Program Coordinator for Youth Education, specializing in Game Design courses (from Unreal to Python). Certified in Adobe Creative Suite and producer of a YouTube/podcast series, he is a storyteller at heart, obsessive movie buff, avid video game player, a secret animal whisperer, and strong believer in the Oxford comma.
