Youth Education’s partners range from campus departments to community organizations and local businesses. Our partners work with us to provide high-quality programming to students ages 6-17.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Developing and teaching curriculum (with approval) for assigned camps.
  • Classroom and behavior management.
  • Safety and welfare of students.
  • Creating supply lists for each camp (when applicable).
  • Maintaining and keeping supplies/equipment in good condition (or alerting Youth Education of defective equipment).
  • Keeping the classroom and surrounding area(s) neat and clean.
  • Recruiting instructors (hiring arrangements based on partnership)
  • Coordinate advertising with Youth Education.

What We Offer

  • Manage registration of all students, collecting tuition and special fees, and all required liability forms.
  • Provide all marketing materials for assigned camps.
  • Support in the creative development including titles and camp descriptions.
  • Manage logistics and communication including field trips, lunches, parent emails, class reminders, etc.

Campus Partners

  • Increase awareness to expand outreach and recruitment efforts.
  • Provide summer employment opportunities for graduate students and faculty.
  • Support students in the community by giving them a preview of college life.

Major Exploration

In partnership with departments across the University of Utah, we offer high school students an opportunity to explore a specific subject area, future career, and get a taste of college life. These classes are designed and taught by faculty, staff or students to propel high schoolers towards academic and professional success! Since launching in 2018, we've offered 14 Major Exploration camps to more than 200 students. Those students experienced the unique opportunity to study, learn, and explore the University of Utah in a fun, comfortable, environment. Therefore, making them more likely to apply at the U!

Community Partners

  • Opportunity to develop curriculum for a youth audience.
  • Free promotion on our website and in our advertising, including social media and our email list of over 5,000 households.

Partner Requirements

  • Commitment to developing curriculum and facilitating the assigned camps.
  • Be familiar and follow through with Youth Education and Youth Protection policies.
  • Communicate with Youth Education and adhere to programming deadlines.
