Youth Education Scholarship

Thank you for your interest in Youth Education’s scholarship program. We are passionate about the impact of Youth Education's camps and classes on a child’s development and hope to provide an opportunity for all families to participate in our programming.

Please read the following information concerning the application process.

How to apply:

Please complete this application in as much detail as possible to give you the greatest chance of receiving a scholarship.

Qualifications:

  • Priority is given to students/families who qualify for free/reduced school lunch. However, if you have extenuating financial needs, please provide information when applicable to your scholarship application.
  • Scholarships can only be awarded for one camp/class per student per year. Camps must have space available to enroll.
  • Camps are not guaranteed. Once you receive word of your acceptance status, you will be responsible for selecting the camp you’d like to apply the scholarship to.

How it works:

  • Applications will be open until April 10th. During this time, please submit only one application per child.
  • The Youth Education Scholarship Committee will review all applications on April 10th.
  • Depending on your financial, socioemotional, and family needs, we will notify you of your scholarship acceptance status.
  • Applications will be entirely confidential to the Youth Education Scholarship Committee.

What to expect:

  • Once the application period concludes, you will be notified of whether you have been awarded a scholarship. If you are selected to receive a scholarship, we will ask for your desired camp/class.
  • If there is availability in your desired camp/class, we will ask you to call and register over the phone. At this time, we will need to take a $20 deposit.
  • As long as your child attends the scholarshipped camp/class, we will refund your $20 deposit.
  • If your child cannot attend the class, please notify us at least 10 business days before the start of the class so we can fill your spot from a scholarship waitlist.
  • If your child does not attend the class, and you do not inform us of their absence at least 10 business days before the start of the camp, you will not receive the $20 refund.
  • Youth Education is unable to provide transportation to or from camp/class locations.

I could not be more grateful to the Club U Scholarship Committee and team. Thanks entirely to the gracious generosity of the committee, my daughter was able to participate last summer in Club U Junior Varsity. She had such a wonderful time! She consistently ranked it as one of the top highlights of her summer. My daughter had a very, very tough start to life before she moved into the foster care system and landed 'home' with me. As an only parent fully stretched financially, I would not have been able to make Club U a possibility for her without the extraordinary gift of a scholarship. Thank you for adding enrichment and fun to her summer, and for the outstanding role models among your camping staff …it makes a real difference!" Scholarship Recipient
